Calling all vintage Steve Vai fans!
Here is a late 1980s Charvel Japanese Model 5 guitar, made at the time that Grover Jackson sub-contracted this Charvel line out to ESP and reckoned by some to be higher quality than the other Charvel imports of the day. The body is made of Poplar wood and neck from Rock Maple with Rosewood fingerboard. The neck itself is of through body construction and finished to match the body. There are 24 frets of low action smooth playability to explore. Tuners are original Jackson.
The electrics comprise a pair of Gibson 496r and 500t humbuckers whilst the Kahler locking trem takes all the divebomb abuse you can throw at it and still remains in tune.
You may have noticed the colour! Its officially called British Rail Orange and is a refinish (hence no Charvel logo) carried out by the same paintshop that Mclaren used for their cars. It will definitely stand out from the crowd at the next band practice.
The guitar comes with a nice quality padded bag with accessory pouches as well as the original trem arm. Get yourself a quality piece of metal history if only so that you can stab the bass player with your pointy headstock! |
