An original sixties Fender Telecaster built in 1968, finished in white (refinished) and signed by Carl Verheyen (Supertramp).
Firstly all of the non-original parts include:
-
The back of the body has been signed by Supertramp guitarist Carl Verheyen in indeliable black marker
-
4 of the scratchplate screws are original. The others are replacement
-
The white finish is a refin
-
The neck has been re-fretted to '58 Gibson standard
-
The body has been routed under the scratchplate for a middle pickup (never added)
-
The guitar has been professionally rewired
-
The original neck pickup was removed and re-wound. A replacement was installed. The original will be included with the guitar
-
The hard case is non-original and locks together but the hinge needs a repair (two suitable screws to re-attach)
-
The original scratch-plate has been sprayed black at some point, to a high standard but showing slight wear. It could be stripped back to original plastic
So there's all the info you need on this sixties Fender Telecaster guitar. What remains is a really nice classic player's 1968 Telecaster with all of the tones you would expect but with the added warmth that 40+ years brings. There is some fret-wear on the neck but plenty of playing life to go. This instrument was purchased from Vintage & Rare guitars approximately 4 years ago.
We reckon it's a bargain. |
